$30,000 for women-led ventures using technology for economic impact
TThe Zahn Center presents the Standard Chartered Women Entrepreneurs Prize, a new competition for City College students, faculty and staff to create economic opportunity through technology. Through this competition, women-led teams are encouraged to develop ventures that address challenges around job growth, finance, e-commerce, markets and the global economy.
Compete for a $30,000 grand prize and one of 6 semi-finalist spots in the Standard Chartered Technology Incubator for Women Entrepreneurs at the Zahn Innovation Center. Semi-finalist teams in the competition receive seed funding for their businesses and access to exclusive programming and resources, including exposure to a new mentorship network featuring female New York City tech leaders, entrepreneurs and investors.
The collaboration between Standard Chartered and the Zahn Center was launched in 2014 to foster a community of women entrepreneurs at City College who leverage technology for economic impact. In the spirit of Standard Chartered’s brand promise, Here for good, the incubator aims to provide support, guidance, and resources that early-stage women-led startups need to grow into successful businesses that bring economic growth to New York City and beyond.
Pitch us your ideas that leverage technology to address an economic need. Your ventures can include services or products used by consumers, small businesses – even students!
