$30,000 for impact ventures – social and environmental
The Zahn Social Innovation Prize is an annual social enterprise competition for City College students, faculty and staff. Compete for one of the 6 semi-finalist spots and gain access to our incubator services at the Zahn Center, a $1,500 budget, and our Lean Startup bootcamp in preparation for the Final Pitch Event. We award a grand prize of $30,000 to the winning team to help them bring their social or environmental impact venture to market.
The Zahn Social Innovation Prize launched in 2014 to encourage social entrepreneurship across the campus. This is your chance to apply your creativity and hard work to launch your ideas for social change. Submit your innovative solutions to whatever challenges you see in the world – from healthcare to education, gender equality to clean water, sustainability to urban architecture. This is your opportunity for large-scale impact.
Whether you are developing a nonprofit or for-profit model for social enterprise, as long as you have a sustainable revenue model, your venture may be eligible for this competition.
